Andrew & Alison • Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park

I was thrilled to have met Alison through a mutual friend. She has a wonderful energy and we instantly starting talking discussing her wedding details and months later her and Andrew came to my studio to talk paper! Little did I know, Alison had amazing drawing skills and she had sketches of the Eolia Mansion in Waterford, where they were getting married. what?! Amazing, I know! LOVED the idea of having her mansion drawing on the invitation. Little touches like that make it SO special! She mailed me some final drawings and I scanned them in and played around ways to use it.

We wanted to keep the front really classic, clean and simple with her illustration and wanted to work in all of her wedding colors: light blue, navy, gold yellow, and touch of peachy pink with some fun Watercolors. After seeing the wedding photos by Maggie Conley Photography, it couldn't have been more of a perfect match, if I do say so myself : ))

P.S little tip/idea for dark envelopes, use a lighter pigment ink pad to stamp your return address on, we used a metallic gold on navy. Adds a little detail and also glams it up a bit.
