Letterpress Chipboard Postcards

These postcards we're designed last year for a November wedding. What I love most about these postcards, is holding them in my hand. Sounds silly, I know, but that's what I REALLY what I love about them. They are so sturdy and have a great quality to them.

The couple was inspired by wine labels for the postcards. We wanted the nod to wine to be subtle; hence "Reserve" the date instead of "Save." They loved the idea of using a kraft colored paper with navy ink. I wanted the quality of the kraft paper to have some thickness to it so it made it through the mailing process with no damages. We went for a chipboard just making it through the postal regulations for postcards. YES!

Another theme we played with is they both have a last name starting with "L." We used a transparent white ink and letterpressed an elegant script "L" in the background. We also incorporated this into the wedding invites which I will share next week with some sneak peaks at bits of their gorgeous wedding at the Park Savoy in New Jersey.

Oh! And a custom stamp is such a great detail. We took an image of the wedding location and added the date to add just a tiny bit of color. Add the green labels, red postal mark and perfection!

This amazing letterpress printing was done by Kismet Letterpress. The top photo was taken the day of the wedding by Lift the Veil Productions. Other photos take by Mattias Lundblad. Many thanks!
